Location: Shanty Creek is located of M-88, which is located of U.S.131 and U.S. 31. (Both 131 and 31 are feeders to I-75 and M-72.) Nestled in the heart of Michigan’s beautiful northwoods, Shanty Creek offers the unique combination of peaceful, picturesque atmosphere and the traditional amenities of the finest resort.

Directions:
Chicago: Leave Chicago via Interstate 94 East; at Benton Harbor, MI, turn onto Interstate 196 North to Grand Rapids, take US 131 North to Mancelona, turn left at the stoplight on to M-88 West to Shanty Creek.

Detroit: Follow Interstate 75 North from Detroit to Grayling; to (Exit 254 or M-72 West toward Kalkaska. In Kalkaska turn North on US 131 to Mancelona, turn left at the stoplight on to M-88 West to Shanty Creek.

Lansing: Proceed north on U S 27 to Grayling; to (Exit 254 or M-72 West toward Kalkaska. In Kalkaska turn North on US131 to Mancelona turn left at the stoplight on to M-88 West to Shanty Creek.

Grand Rapids: Take US 131 North from Grand Rapids to Mancelona, turn left at the stoplight on to M-88 West to Shanty Creek.



There are (3) entrances to Shanty Creek:
Entrance # 1. (Schuss Mountain), Entrance # 2.( Cedar River, Shanty Creek/Summit Village,and Schuss Village), Entrance # 3.( Shanty Creek/Summit Village).

To get here from Petoskey, you will need to go South on U.S. 131. Stay on U.S. 131 until you get to Mancelona. Once in Mancelona, make a RIGHT at the stoplight,(there is only one in town) on to M88. There are 3 Shanty Creek entrances on M88- take the first one North off of M88 to get to Schuss Mountain. The second exit on M88 is also to the North. The road is called Del Mason, this will take you to Cedar River, Shanty Creek/Summit Village, and, Schuss Mountain. Just follow the signs. The third exit is almost to Bellaire, turn to the right and follow the signs you will come to Shanty Creek/Summit Village.
