  • 1. What you must have to race
You must be a current Bay Racing Sno-X member. You and your sled must conform and abide by all International Snowmobile Racing (ISR) rules for snocross. For a copy of the rules contact the ISR:

    International Racing Inc.
    2125A West Washington St.
    West Bend, Wisconsin 53095
    262-335-2401

Your sled must have 6” numbers on both sides of the hood and 4” on both sides of the tunnel in a contrasting color.

Full coverage helmets are mandatory. Helmets will be full protective coverage and carry the 1995 Snell Foundation Approval Code. This helmet must be a minimum of 75% international or blaze orange.

At least 144 square inches of visible area on both the driver’s front and back must be international or blaze orange in color.

The use of upper body protection equipment is mandatory. The body protection must protect the driver in mid-body and back areas and be capable of resisting penetration and dissipating force of impacts while absorbing the shock of most blows. Typical motocross style chest protectors do not meet this rule

    2. Sign up
Never enter the staging or racetrack area without reporting to Registration first. You will be disqualified and could be suspended for the season. Even if you sign up on-line you still must report to Registration to pick up your packet during registration hours.

Bay Racing Sno-X membership card: You will apply for this each year. We encourage you to do this on-line. You may do so during Registration hours at the track. Keep all of your receipts. If you applied on-line make sure to print out your conformation receipts. Until you get your card, we will need to see your receipts to sign you up each time you race.

Race Day / Class Sign-up: we encourage you to sign up on-line. You may do so during Registration hours at the track. Please print clearly on all forms this is how we enter you into the computer system for scoring. Fill sign up forms out completely. If you sign up on-line print out all of your receipts. You will need to show your receipt at Registration.

Release Forms: All racers must sign a liability release form at Registration. In addition, all racers under 18 years old must bring a parent to Registration to sign them in. This parent will fill out and sign a Minor Release form. You will need to do this every race. If a parent can not be with you, YOU MUST HAVE A NOTARIZED NOTE FROM YOUR PARENT. **SEE INFO FOR RACERS UNDER 18YRS OLD FOR EXAMPLE**

    3. Practice
Everyone gets one practice. Racers who sign up for two classes usually get an extra practice. Practice session is typically 3-4 laps. The practice order will be posted at the office trailer. Enter the track only at the starting line and exit only at the exit area. Ride complete laps. You can’t turn around and repeat section of the track.

    4. Race Format
Race order will be posted at the office trailer during practice. Each racer will race two heat races with the top 15 going to the main. There will not be ANY LAST CHANCE QUALIFIERS. Example: If your class Semi-Pro 600 has 60 racers they will be divided into 4 heats of 15 racers. Each heat will race twice to get a combined score. If you placed 3rd in heat 1 and 1st in heat 2 your score will be 4, Top 15 Racers with the lowest score move to the main.

If there is a tie with the scores the best heat 2 finish breaks the tie.

Starting grid selection for heat races will be computers generated in a random sort order.

Starting grind selection for the Mains is according to your combined heat scores.

    5. Finish Positions / Awards
About 15 minutes after your 1st heat race results will be posted at the office trailer. Make sure to check your name, class, and finish position. If you have a question be patient and ask the office staff. Do the same thing after your 2nd heat race to find your grid position for the main.

When the main results are posted. The overall finish is listed on the sheet. The number of awards per class is noted at the top along with the time that awards will be handed out.

Awards will be paid to the top 10 racers in the MAIN ONLY for trophy classes. Awards will be paid to the top 15 racers in the MAIN ONLY for 120cc Classes. Awards in the Cash Payout classes will be based on the number of racers in that class.
